Best Minecraft Lifesteal SMP Servers

Lifesteal is the modern hardcore SMP twist: kill a player, take a heart from their max health and add it to yours. Run out of hearts and you're banned, sometimes for hours, sometimes for the rest of the season. Servers differ on whether those bans are permanent or revivable.

Map age matters a lot here, joining a server six weeks in means everyone has 20 hearts and you have 10. Look for fresh seasons or 'reset incoming' notes. Active staff and a working revival mechanic (witherskulls, totems, hearts-of-revival) keep the population stable instead of collapsing on day 30.
